Our Catholic tradition reserves a special time to remember deceased family and friends.
Their departure for eternal life often leaves us with a heavy heart. St. Anastasia has a wonderful tradition to com- fort us through these times - our annual “Time to Remember” liturgy. This moving and uplifting observance offers us a visual and reward-ing means to pray for and remember our departed loved ones.
During a “Time to Remember” the names of those who have died between October 1, 2015 and September 30, 2016 are read aloud, and their names are recorded in our Book of Life. Family members or close friends come forward to light a candle in their memory. A simple meal of soup will be served in the church hall beginning at 5:30 pm as well as after the service for those coming directly from work.
We invite all to attend the liturgy regardless of whether you have experienced the loss of a loved once recently.
