St. Anastasia is hosting a parish-wide Carnival on July 15 - 18. This new fundraising event is the first of its kind for the parish. We've contracted with a highly-regarded professional amusement company and assembled a team of fine volunteers to lead the effort. It is hoped that the proceeds from the Carnival will help balance the parish budget for the upcoming fiscal year and permit St. Anastasia's many ministries continue their vital work of service in our community.
"What makes this event significantly different from many of our other fund raising efforts is that it reaches out beyond our community," said event leader, Homer Benavides. "We hope to attract customers from across Waukegan, Gurnee, Beach Park and Zion. This takes the financial burden of supporting our events off the parishioners."
The success of the event, however, still depends on making a parish-wide effort. Volunteers are needed in key roles for the four-day event. If your interested in helping, please complete the Volunteer Inquiry form below and you'll be put in-touch with a member of the Carnival Committee.
Invite your friends.
You've heard it said that "the best advertising is 'word-of-mouth'". Friends telling friends is key. So don't be shy -- tell your family and friends about the St. Anastasia Carnival, spread the word at work, on Facebook, ... however you can.
Here's what to expect.
A fun-filled four-day Carnival at St. Anastasia. There's a Merry-go-Round, Dizzy Dragon, Jumping Bean and other rides for the little kids. A 50' Ferris Wheel, the Himalaya, the Force and the Pharoh's Fury await the thrill riders. Enjoy great food from many area restaurants, a cold beverage and live music.
